On June 6, the concert “Pēteris Vasks – 80th Celebration” will feature a concert program created for this event, which includes long-unheard and somewhat forgotten instrumental pieces and songs, which will be performed by the composer’s musical friends, coming together in honor of this special event: violinist Daniil Bulayev and Magdalēna Geka, violist Jevgēnija Frolova, cellist Guna Šnē, oboist Amanda Tauriņa, double bassist Matīss Eisaks, trumpeter Jenss Holms, accordionist Artūrs Noviks, pianist Agnese Egliņa, as well as young vocalists from Daile Theatre Studio 10 Agate Grīnhofa, Katrīna Altenberga, Eduards Rediko and Ralfs Puzāns. The musical consultant for the concert is Juris Vaivods.
