Margarita Ogibalova (b.1992) received her early musical education at the Aizkraukle Music School (1997–2003), continuing her studies at the Jūrmala Music School (2003–2005) and the Ogre Music School (2005–2006).

From 2006 to 2011, she studied at the Emīls Dārziņš Music School in Riga, one of Latvia’s most prestigious institutions for young musicians. During this period, she developed her artistic and technical foundation under the guidance of distinguished violin pedagogues Ojārs Kalniņš, Baiba Steine, and Nelly Sarkisjan.

She continued her professional training at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Violin Performance in 2015, studying in the class of Professor Eva Bindere. In 2018, she completed her Master’s Degree in Violin Performance at the same institution under the mentorship of Professor Gunars Larsens.

During her years of study, Margarita became a laureate of several international violin competitions held in Lithuania, France, Romania, and the Czech Republic, receiving recognition for her artistic achievements and performance excellence at a young age.

Her education reflects a continuous commitment to artistic excellence and professional development, shaped by the guidance of some of Latvia’s most respected violinists and educators.

Since 2019, Margarita Ogibalova has been a permanent member of the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, performing as a tutti violinist in the First Violin section. Prior to joining the orchestra’s full-time roster, she collaborated with the orchestra from 2014 to 2019 as a substitute musician in the Second Violin section, gaining extensive experience within one of Latvia’s leading symphonic ensembles.Throughout her orchestral career, she has had the privilege of performing under the baton of internationally acclaimed conductors, including Mariss Jansons, Vladimir Fedoseyev, Karel Mark Chichon, Tarmo Peltokoski, and many other distinguished artists.

Since 2017, she has been a member of the chamber orchestra Sinfonia Concertante, actively participating in a wide range of concert projects and artistic collaborations. In 2023, she joined Davinspiro Camerata chamber orchestra as a First Violin player, further expanding her chamber music activities.

In addition to her principal engagements, she has performed with several of Latvia’s most prominent ensembles, including Sinfonietta Rīga, Kremerata Baltica and the Jūrmala Festival Orchestra. Her professional activity regularly includes participation in major classical music festivals and concert series throughout Latvia, collaborating with leading musicians, conductors, and soloists from both Latvia and abroad.

Alongside her orchestral and chamber music work, Margarita maintains an active concert career, demonstrating versatility across symphonic, chamber, and contemporary repertoire.
