Jevgenija Otroško (b.2001) is the Principal Second Violin and soloist of the Davinspiro Camerata chamber orchestra.

Her musical journey began at the Jūrmala Music Secondary School under the guidance of Dzidra Pelēķe. She continued her education at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance in the class of Professor Gunars Larsens. In 2026 she completed her Master’s degree in Violin Performance under the supervision of Professor Terēze Zīberte-Ijaba.

Jevgenija is a regular member of the first violin section of the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra. She has performed with prominent Latvian and international orchestras, including Sinfonia Concertante, Sinfonietta Riga, the Latvian National Opera and Ballet Orchestra, the Jūrmala Festival Orchestra, the youth orchestra project Born in Latvia and others.

As a soloist, she has appeared with Sinfonietta Riga and the Jūrmala Music Secondary School String Orchestra.

In addition to her performing career, Jevgenija is passionately dedicated to teaching: she works as a violin teacher at the Jūrmala Music Secondary School and serves as the leader of the Jūrmala Music Secondary School String Orchestra.

She has participated in numerous international masterclasses with distinguished violinists and pedagogues such as Pavel Berman, Rainer Schmidt, Tatiana Samouil, Dejan Bogdanović, Tamar Bulia, Eva Bindere, Elīna Bukša, Una Tone, Boris Garlitsky, Alexander Trostiansky, Dagmara Kalashkova and many others.

Jevgenija is a laureate of several national and international competitions. In 2018 she was awarded the Jūrmala City Annual Award in Culture in the nomination “For outstanding achievements in competitions in Latvia and abroad in the field of music.”

Across concert stages, chamber ensembles, and collaborative projects, she continues to expand her artistic voice and professional experience.

Currently Jevgenija performs on a Roger & Max Millant violin (Paris, 1935), generously loaned by Ara Simonian.
