Emīlija (b.2003) is a violinist born and raised in Riga, Latvia. She started her musical journey at Emils Darzins School of Music where she studied for twelve years under Olga Isakova. She continued her studies at Jazeps Vitols Latvian Academy of Music with prof. Terēze Zīberte-Ijaba as well as with Luis Rubén Gallardo Lorenzo during her year abroad. Emīlija is currently working towards her Masters degree at Royal Conservatoire the Hague under Wouter Vossen. She has received additional tutoring at the masterclasses of Tatiana Samouil, Zohrab Tadevosyan and Zakhar Bron among others.

Growing up, she spent some time participating in competitions. Among her most notable achievements were 2nd place diploma at A.Grumiaux International Violin competition and 1st place diploma at A. Dombrovskis International competition for young violinists. As a soloist, she has performed with Latvian National Symphony Orchestra and Jazeps Vitols Latvian Academy of Music student orchestra.

Nowadays, she enjoys building a career as a chamber and orchestral musician. The young violinist is keen on organizing and performing regular chamber music programs with her string quartet “Soleil”; the ensemble often forms a quintet with pianist Daniils Rimvids-Mickevičs. They have repeatedly received 1st place diplomas in the academy’s chamber music competition and have recorded several chamber music works in collaboration with Latvian Radio.

Additionally to her budding chamber music career, Emīlija has been a member of Davinspiro Camerata chamber orchestra since 2023, holds a full-time position at Latvian National Symphony Orchestra and often substitutes in other Latvian orchestras as well.
